The Barnyard Band playing to a crowd under stage lights

B&S balls

A country band for your B&S ball

A B&S ball runs on one thing: a dance floor that stays full until the end. The Barnyard Band is a five-piece country show band from Townsville that brings the band, an 18,000 W PA, lights and video in one booking, so your committee has one less thing to organise.

FAQ

B&S ball questions, answered

Do you play B&S balls?

Yes. B&S balls are one of the event types we're built for: a five-piece country band with an 18,000 W PA, a time-coded light show and video, all brought in our own trailer.

What do you play at a B&S ball?

Country, country rock and singalong favourites, paced for a dance floor that wants to stay full. We read the crowd and keep the energy up through the late sets.

Can you play in a shed, a paddock or a marquee?

Yes, as long as there's a covered stage area, safe access for load-in and enough power. Outdoors we need at least a dedicated 30 kVA generator or equivalent clean mains power and weather protection. We send our tech rider early so your committee can plan around it.

Do we need to hire a separate PA and lights?

No. Within driving distance of Townsville we bring the full production: the 18,000 W RMS PA, lights, video and a sound engineer. If you already have a production supplier, we can work with them instead.

Can the band work around presentations and the bar?

Yes. We play to your run sheet, with a wireless speech mic for the MC, raffles and presentations. Send your set times through the Event Details Form once you've booked.

How much does a B&S ball band cost?

It depends on the date, location and line-up. R.O.D.E.O., our instant quote tool, shows your estimate up front with every inclusion listed. If the committee can cover beds, meals or flights, it comes off the price.

How far will you travel for a ball?

We drive our own production to events across North Queensland, and fly in and out anywhere in Australia with a tech rider for your production supplier.
