🎶 The Barnyard Band – Country Rock Music.
Full Production. One Powerful Package.
For the past three years, Laurence and his team have been developing a country show designed to bring a concert-grade visual spectacle to everyday rodeos, campdrafts, ag shows and festivals across Queensland.
Making up the band is Steve Sparrow - North Queenslands greatest guitarist, Nick Grey - on of the most talented natural Drummers on the planet, Laurence Sorbello - Award winning country singer and crowd participation entertainer, powerhouse fiddle player Katisha Adelaide, and on the Ivory's - Mr Brendan Marolla who is also the bands Sound Engineer Specialist. The show features a full 5-piece live band, delivering a high-energy performance that blends modern country hits, crowd favorites, and original moments of humor and storytelling.
This isn’t just another local pub band thrown together for a weekend gig. It’s a Queensland-born touring country concert experience built to light up dusty rodeo arenas just as easily as it can entertain a packed theatre.
With big sound, time-code concert grade lighting, and a party atmosphere that keeps crowds singing all night, the show has quickly become one of the most exciting country acts travelling the festival circuit around beautiful Queensland.

Meet Laurence
🎻 Katisha Adelaide is a genre-blending, globe-trotting violinist, composer, singer and live looper — and we’re lucky enough to borrow her as our fiddle player. Hailing from Far North Queensland and trained everywhere from Sweden to the Conservatorium, Katisha brings wild creativity and technical firepower to every stage. We take that genre-bending energy and funnel it into a country sound that’s straight-up unreal.

Meet Nick
Drummer
Born and raised in the Burdekin, Nick grew up on his parents’ sugar cane farm where spare time usually meant riding motorbikes or getting into a bit of trouble. If it had wheels or made noise, he was interested. Somewhere along the way, all that energy needed an outlet — and it turns out hitting drums was a pretty good option.
Nick’s been playing drums since he was 10, after being heavily influenced by his older brother who played in bands as a teenager. Watching from the sidelines didn’t last long — before long Nick was in bands himself, making noise and loving every second of it.
His love for country music kicked off during his teenage years, camping out along the Burdekin River — usually in the back of a ute under the stars, surrounded by good mates, questionable cooking, plenty of beer and of course country music. Somewhere between those late nights and early mornings, the music stuck.
These days, Nick brings that same energy to the band — solid on the drums, always up for a laugh, and proof that a kid from the cane fields can keep a beat just about anywhere.
