Steve’s passion for music began at 14 when he first picked up a guitar. Like many musicians, his journey started by jamming with teenage mates, forming his first band and playing classics from Guns N’ Roses and Metallica. Those early years helped shape his love for great guitar work and set him on the path to becoming the versatile player he is today.

Musically, Steve draws inspiration from a wide range of genres and guitarists, but when it comes to country music, two names sit firmly at the top of the list: Brent Mason and Brad Paisley. Their technical brilliance, creativity, and unmistakable style continue to influence his playing.

When he’s not on stage or with a guitar in hand, you’ll likely find Steve enjoying a bowl of Weet-Bix for breakfast. As for favourite songs, narrowing it down is nearly impossible, but a few standout country guitar masterpieces include Hot Wiredby Brent Mason, Cluster Pluck by Brad Paisley and friends, and Country Boy by Ricky Skaggs.
