The Mount Isa Mines Rodeo is more than three days of elite rodeo competition. Once the sun drops over Buchanan Park and the red dirt arena begins to cool, the weekend shifts into a full outback celebration with food, drinks, crowds and live country music.

Gates open at 8 am on Friday and Saturday, giving visitors a full day to take in the arena competition, market and food stalls, sideshow alley and the social atmosphere around Buchanan Park. Friday night finishes with live entertainment on the Main Stage in the Rodeo Forecourt, while Saturday again ends with live music on the Crocketts Main Stage.
